Peoria Packing Limited was founded in 1990 as a local meat distribution company delivering to ethnic Chicago grocery stores. In 1993 it constructed a pork processing plant and modernized a hog slaughtering facility establishing itself as a regional slaughter, processing and distribution company; delivering pork products throughout Illinois. In 1993 the founders also constructed a retail butcher shop; selling quality meat to the public at wholesale prices. Over the years the company has grown from a regional to a global pork slaughtering, processing, sausage manufacturing and meat distribution company.
